Unsung heroes James Milner and Joel Matip also receive their share of praise, while the lads also look ahead to Tuesday night's clash with Atletico in Spain and the re-union with a certain Uruguayan who broke Dave's heart and caused him to listen to Adele.

Saturday Oct 09, 2021
With no games this weekend due to the international break and with a re-union with Luis Suarez on the horizon, now seemed like a perfect time to discuss the legacy of the controversial but brilliant Uruguayan, as well as other former players who left under a cloud. Are they still Red, or are they simply dead to you?
Chris Smith is joined by TLW Editor Dave Usher and Julian Richards for a lively back and forth on how Suarez, Phil Coutinho, Raheem Sterling, Fernando Torres, Javier Mascherano, Michael Owen, Steve McManaman and Xabi Alonso should be viewed; while also asking; Red or Dead?

Sunday Sep 26, 2021
The Reds went top of the table despite a somewhat disappointing result at Brentford. It was a wild game in which the hosts were full value for a point, but Jurgen Klopp's men only have themselves to blame for not going home with the win under their belts.
TLW Editor Dave Usher is joined by Paul Natton and Dan Thomas to sift through the wreckage of a defensive horror show, but there is some disagreement as to whether the blame for these two lost points should lie with the defence or the attack.
The continued worrying form of Sadio is also a discussion point while the lads preview the midweek game at Porto and talk team selection for that one.

Sunday Sep 12, 2021
TLW Editor Dave Usher is joined by Ian Brown and Stu Montagu to reflect on a bittersweet win at Elland Road.
A good three points and a convincing performance but the shine was definitely taken off it by that dreadful injury to young Harvey Elliott.
Was the red card justified? How good was Thiago? How is Fabinho not the first name on Brazil's teamsheet? Was it disappointing that we only scored three? And what was going on with Sadio's performance in front of goal?
All this and more is covered in a lively discussion recorded on the full time whistle.

Transfer Window Recap, FSG under the microscope and Michael Edwards off?
Saturday Sep 04, 2021
Saturday Sep 04, 2021
The transfer window came and went and the Reds did very little. Understandably, many of the natives are restless and FSG are coming under increasing scrutiny, not least with the news that Michael Edwards is reportedly off at the end of the season.
Chris Smith is joined by TLW Editor Dave Usher and long time TLW contributors Paul Natton and Dan Thomas in a bumper length episode of the podcast.
Why no new forward? Should the entire budget have been spent on Konate? Do we need new owners? Is there even a realistic and palatable alternative to FSG? All of this is covered as well as some broader points about the damage the oil clubs have done to the transfer market and why transfer windows in general are a miserable and frustrating time.
The lads also discuss some of the best and worst transfer windows of recent times, with Gerard Houllier's summer of 1999 in particular bringing back a lot of happy memories.
