The Reds kept their recent momentum going with a hard fought 1-0 over West Ham. Darwin Nunez was electric and bagged the only goal of the game, while at the other end Alisson was needed to save a first half penalty.

A win and an unexpected clean sheet against a team who until today couldn't stop scoring. The Reds defended brilliantly and Mo Salah did the rest as Kloppo's boys tore up the form book and deservedly inflicted a first defeat of the season on City in a typically incident packed game at Anfield.

TLW Editor Dave Usher is joined by Paul Natton and John Gallagher to reflect on a much needed and well deserved victory in which there were top quality performances all over the pitch. Milner was a rock at right back, the two centre halves were impeccable in keeping Haaland quiet, the midfielders were diligent and Mo was dazzling.

Rangers 1 Liverpool 7 - Match Reaction

The Reds conceded first yet again but came roaring back to send the home crowd scurrying for the exits long before the full time whistle.

Bobby dazzled, Darwin netted again, Mo bagged a six minute hat-trick and Harvey claimed his first Champions League goal as the boys claimed a much needed morale boosting win ahead of the big game this weekend.

Plenty of good attacking play was completely undermined by yet more dreadful defending as the Reds slipped to defeat at the Emirates against table topping Arsenal.

Darwin Nunez scored and looked lively through but that was the only crumb of comfort on a miserable day which was made worse by potentially serious injuries to Trent Alexander-Arnold and Luis Diaz.
